Pig Party at New York City (curated by Gina Beavers)
New York City is a new space operated by Jamie Sterns and Andrew Russeth at 83 Bowery.
They turn the space over to an artist to use however they desire for a number of weeks. It can be used as a studio, an exhibition or performance space, rented to tourists as a love motel, whatever.
“Pig Party”is a group show curated by Gina Beavers as an art world adaptation of the old Animal House bit in which everyone competes to bring the ugliest date (or in this case, the best/worst bad art) to the dance.
